CAN I IMPORT/EXPORT BETWEEN OPTIMO PATHFINDER AND XPLAN?
No, at the moment it is not possible to import or export data between Optimo Pathfinder and XPLAN, apart from saving the documents Optimo Pathfinder produces within your XPLAN instance. However, we have customers who prefer Pathfinder’s modelling over XPLAN’s and have successfully integrated Pathfinder into their business processes, while continuing to use XPLAN for their customer relationship management.
HOW DOES OPTIMO FINANCIAL HANDLE CHANGES TO LEGISLATION?
Optimo Pathfinder only includes legislation that has been passed in both houses of parliament and received Royal Assent from the Governor General. Our Legislative Updates page lists the recent legislation implemented in Pathfinder and proposed legislation we are keeping an eye on.
If passed legislation includes changes that apply in the future, for example, new tax thresholds that will apply in five years’ time or future indexation of the super contributions caps, Pathfinder includes the legislation in your projections.
Once proposed legislation becomes law, Pathfinder is updated promptly to reflect these new laws.
HOW DO I PURCHASE MORE CASES?
Optimo Pathfinder’s cost-effective pricing structure means you only pay for what you use, so you keep your overheads low. You can buy a single case or a bundle of cases. To do so:
- Login to Pathfinder: https://login.optimopathfinder.com.au
- Click the 'Add New Case' button, this will take you to the page where you can purchase cases.
As a general guide, consider how many cases you expect to complete in a year, and choose the closest bundle to that amount.
CAN I SET UP MULTIPLE LOGINS FOR MY ORGANISATION?
Yes. Once you make your first purchase, we can create an organisation for you and add more logins for your support staff and other advisers in your organisation. Logins are free of charge and we encourage you to request a login for each person who will be using Pathfinder, rather than sharing logins.
If you would like to create additional logins, or merge trial logins under a single organisation, please contact us.
HOW LONG CAN I USE A PURCHASED CASE FOR?
When you purchase a case (or bundle) you have 15 months to add the purchased case(s). Once you've added a case you have 90 days to edit it. After 90 days the case will get locked in order to keep the background data up to date. When a case is locked, you can still view it but you cannot edit it. For about 90% of cases, we find that 90 days is plenty of time to complete your client’s strategy analysis.
You can see how many days you have left to edit a case on your dashboard after you login. If any of your cases are about to be locked in the next week, you will receive an email reminder.
Please contact us if you need to edit your case after it is locked. We understand that sometimes things can take longer than expected, we can unlock your case and check if any updates need to be made. Please note that additional charges may apply to unlock a case, we will let you know before we do so.
We reserve the right to refuse a request to unlock a case if we feel you have had sufficient time to work on your case and it would be more appropriate for you to purchase a new case.
WHAT ASSUMPTIONS ARE BEING USED IN THE MODELLING?
Pathfinder includes default assumptions for the economy (e.g. CPI, AWOTE), interest rates, and asset class performance (e.g. returns for Australian equities, property growth, etc). When entering a case, you can edit some of these assumptions or choose an option that is close to your preferred values.
CAN I CUSTOMISE MY ASSUMPTIONS?
CAN I RE-OPEN AN OLD CASE WHEN I WANT TO REVIEW MY CLIENT?
No, when you have completed a case and you would like to review your client (after 90 days), you need to purchase a new case. This automatically ensures that you are using the latest background dataand assumptions.
You can contact us to request a case to be copied, From our experience we know that entering a case is usually faster than copying a case and taking the time to compare and update all the data.
You can have your previous case open while entering the data in the new case. For more information on how to do this, click HERE.
